EL NIDO PALAWAN with Puerto Princesa Tour

This trip was a treat for myself like literally and figuratively 😉 My friend booked the flight without my knowledge and told me that I don’t have to worry about the airfare anymore, I’ll just shoulder my own tour expenses. How can you say no to a very nice deal right 😅

So I had searched for recommendations for the Palawan tour and found Mr. Michael in the travel group I was a member of. My friend contacted him and we paid right after. Below are the given itineraries for our trip.

SAR

We arrived at Puerto Prinsesa Airport around 5 oclock in the afternoon and the pickup van is already waiting there to fetch us in Elnido. We spent almost 6 hrs of roadtrip with 2 stopovers for dinner and stretching. Mostly the signal is off during the  trip :3 We reached the hotel just in time for us to sleep and get ready for tomorrow’s activity. We stayed at Sea slugs inn where the staff are nice, the foods are decent however you will experience sudden brown outs at nights. They have generator there but I can remember waking up one night feeling so hot because they don’t have power as well. All in all it was manageable.

DAY 1 TOUR A (ISLAND HOPPING: SECRET LAGOON| BIG LAGOON| SMALL LAGOON| SHIMIZU ISLAND AND SEVEN COMMANDO BEACH)

On our first day, a tricycle service picked us up in the hotel with one of the boat guide and dropped us at El Nido Town Proper. We waited for other people that composes the group to begin the tour.

El Nido Town Proper
The kind of parking that is pleasant to my eyes.

In a group there is always the VIP one and we waited for them for quite some time (Let me rant again here hahaha) Good thing that TOUR A turned out amazing. I recommend this tour if ever you’ll have to choose among the tour offers. We did boat top loading and hang out with the boatmen while they prepare foods for lunch.  I enjoyed it more and got to separate ourselves from others and felt like an exclusive tour .

We first arrived at 7 commando beach. I feel disappointed here coz I feel like I’ve been cheated with the price of the photos they took with different camera tricks. Part of it is maybe my fault for misunderstanding them but still LOL. We stayed here for awhile and then proceeded with the Lagoons.

Oh my goodness. The lagoons left me breathless. I could use the word paradise for it. It was gorgeous. Seeing the lagoons already made my visit to Palawan worth it. I am not even exaggerating. The water is crystal clear with different shades of blue surrounded by the beautiful limestone cliffs. We enjoyed kayaking (P500 each)  in the secret lagoon where it was so calm and peaceful. It felt like you are on a different planet with less people living on it.

We spent  lunch on one of the Islands, its kinda like stopover. The foods are mostly seafood and eating it with the amazing view of the ocean is just very fulfilling. I could say that it’s a good lunch .

We headed on the last Island for the day which is the SHIMIZU. I maximized my time here and enjoyed snorkelling. This has been the best snorkelling spot I had by far. The fishes and corals are incredible. That time I realized how rich the Philippines with natural resources. I hope and pray that the beauty of Palawan be conserved.

DAY 2 TOUR C (ISLAND HOPPING: HELICOPTER ISLAND| SECRETBEACH |STAR BEACH| MATINLOC SHRINE AND HIDDEN BEACH)

Before this tour we are supposed to hike taraw cliff  however it rained that night which made it cancelled because it can dangerous when it’s slippery. So we only have tour C as our agenda for the day.  We ate our breakfast in our inn and rode Tricycle again to go in El Nido town proper. We were with different group of people this time. New faces with some foreigners. The boatmen said that these islands are kinda far than what we traveled last time.

For the first island we went to Matinloc shine, as usual the limestone cliffs were amazing. We did a little hike to see the top view of it. And it never fails. It’s kinda challenging to go there tho so be careful.

We headed next to the secret beach, there were a lot of baby jellyfish here. Some corals and fishes too. We stayed for awhile and went to the Star Beach for lunch 😀 Its so nice to swim here coz the water is so clear. That’s all I can remember. I had swam most of the time. haha

We visited the hidden beach next, it’s just amazing how you can walk in the middle of the ocean. Yup. The waters are low and only a few walks and you’ll be in the deepest ocean already. Im not sure if you can imagine what I had just described 😅 that’s why you have to see it for yourself 😝 We enjoyed the beach and took some photos  😀

And the last itinerary for the day was the Helicopter Island. Here, we saw a lot of foreigners doing sun bathing, getting their tan on point. Some are actually not giving a f*ck and were completely naked. We enjoyed the beach again and just stroll around. Some people did snorkelling 🙂

We headed back to our inn, took a shower changed clothes and went back to the town LOL. We wanted to see the nightlife however we ended up food tripping, walking by the shore and ended up buying pasalubongs. We capped off the night by buying some beer and slept 😀

We checked out after lunch and rode the tricycle that brought us in the terminal of the Vans going to Puerto Princesa. We felt exhausted when we arrived in the PPS-Airport Side Inn. It was a budget place. The bathroom is small. Idk. I just feel like the place was small LOL. We slept to get ready for our tour the next day.

We woke up early morning and the van picked us up in the Hotel. We enjoyed the company of other travellers here, they are fun and so nice. Even the tour guide has a high energy all through out. Small world coz one of the group live nearby where I live. LOL We first went to the Ugong Rock Adventures. Did caving for 200 pesos. It was nice coz it give the locals jobs. After which we went to the boat terminal, had some buffet lunch first before riding the boat going to the underground river.

At the time, there were news of possible abduction happening in the area but to my surprise it didn’t stop the foreigners to visit it. It has a long line. Puerto Princesa Underground River was surely majestic. I didn’t bother to take photos inside the cave just because I want to appreciate all the formations with my eyes. It was incredible. Like I cant imagine how those things things had formed. It feels short tho. We rode the boat back to the terminal and the van to get in the airport side.

We took a shower again and decided to eat dinner outside. We went to Baywalk Puerto Princesa. Ordered a lot of food and some drinks. Enjoyed the music and went back to the Inn 😀

The next morning we flew back to manila. Guess what. I ended having sick leave that day hehehe. Palawan is a place that I don’t mind to go back. Indeed, it is the best Island in the world 🙂

Missing my father

Growing up, my dream was to give back to my family. I saw how hard they work to send us to school but just when I graduated.. my father suffered cancer. It was so hard, I lost the motivation to live, to work hard. My father was the only one who made me feel that I am doing the right thing. That someone is proud of me.

Every time I hear the music he always play, I always get teary eyed. I have so much plan in my mind for my family. I want to treat them with nice food, pamper them with spa and all the good stuff. However, I never got the chance to do that. I never got the chance to give my father a comfortable life.

It’s been 6 years since he left but the pain is always as fresh as new every time I remember him. I miss him a lot and I just want to let it out here.

Brain Dump | 01

January 21, 2021

I am 27 years old as of writing. I was thinking about my financial/personal problems earlier and I suddenly remember that I am actually living the dream that I had when I was a kid.

I grew up in a province where my family is treated above average because my grandmother is a businesswoman and I have an uncle that works abroad. However, when I transferred here in Manila, we lived in a squatter’s area because my parents are yet to find a job and when they finally got one, it’s just enough for our daily expenses. I remember, when I was in 4th grade, I was studying in our roof and I told myself that I will be a CEO in that building that I’m looking at or I’ll definitely work there as a high rank employee. The only thought I have on my mind that time is how much I want to grow up, be successful and get out of the squatter’s area.

I was ambitious when I was a kid. I thought it will be easy. Fast forward to my current self, I am a quality analyst working in one of the tallest building in makati. Received promotions, twice. Earning more than enough for myself but not enough for my family. I am somewhat a breadwinner, and while I’m thinking about my responsibilities, I suddenly thought, I wasn’t that bad because I am actually living the dream that I had when I was a kid.

P.S. I still live in a squatter’s area, but it’s much bigger and last December 2019, I got a house and lot in Cavite but ofcourse I’m still paying for it ☺️

Morning Thoughts 12/01/2017

12/01/2017

Morning Thoughts.

I am at this point where I don’t know what to do with my life.

When I was in college I have a fixed goal. I already envisioned what I want to be and what will I do after that and this. Unfortunately, life does not go as the way we want it.

Everything just fell into pieces. I was alone and clueless on how to pick it all up.

Part of it is because I am scared to realize that you wouldn’t really know what could happen today and the future. Continuous strikes had tremendously affect my life negatively.

I am still uncertain on how to deal it with and decided to go with the flow. Doing what is supposedly right but somehow at the time I know something has changed. The feeling that something is not right and that a part of me was lost.

It was easy to say to forget the past. Stop dwelling on it. Do not spend your time on the things that you cannot change. But my mind couldn’t stop thinking about it. For the last 2 years my mind got used to it.

I know for sure that those setbacks helped me to be stronger and learned a lot from it.

And with every struggle I face, it always helped me understand things with different perspective.

It helped me in so many ways. I reflect more than I used to.

However, why do I feel like I am lacking something.

And that, this is not what I dreamt of.

Something is wrong and I spend so many days thinking what is really going on.

FIRST TIME TRAVELING TO USA WITH CONNECTING FLIGHT (Getting around the airport)

I can’t believe that I am traveling alone on an international with connecting flight! 😕I’ve been worrying about this trip before it comes but currently as I am sitting on my flight going to Washingtong Dulles International Airport via United airlines, I feel at peace. It wasnt that complicated as I expected. It went smoothly.

So here it goes.
☑ After booking, check your flight number and go to your designated terminal. I went to the airport two hrs before my departure.
☑ Check in your baggage if you have any. Research about the things that you should checked in. Knowledge is power Lol (in my case I just asked people but doing your own research is always good which I learned recently)  Your boarding pass will be issued here indicating your gate number and seat number. They will ask you to pay for travel tax if you haven’t paid yet.
☑ Go through Immigration. You’ll be ask things about you or your trip. Just be honest 🙂
☑ Go through security.
☑ Proceed to your gate number and you’re ready for boarding. I’m a bit early so I waited for awhile. If you’re flying with PAL, there will be free food on the flight.
☑ Next is boarding time> Travel time > Arrival in Narita Japan (my layover)

🛩 NARITA AIRPORT
☑ After arriving in Japan, you’ll read signs saying Domestic Arrival and Connecting/International transfer. So I went to the connecting, here I’ll go through security again and showed my travel itinerary since I don’t have the boarding pass going to Dulles yet. I had arrived at terminal 2 but my flight to Dulles is in terminal 1 hence I’ll be riding the airport shuttle to get there. Check for your next flight, there will be screens where you can find all the flights and the corresponding GATE NUMBER (of course you have to take note of this) Schedules of shuttle will be available as well, just look around 🙂 (you can always asked the Japanese too if you are not sure 🙂 )
I rode the shuttle and dropped off to the gate nearest to my gate number.

OMG , wait .. while I’m writing this, the plane I’m riding going to Dulles is already leaving and I have no one beside me!!! How lucky I am !!! Party!!!  I don’t know why but I feel great, Im not sure in a little while hahahah. Also it’s raining so I’m kind of being sentimental 😂Yep. Rain affects my mood coz I love it especially when I am not doing anything. I just love watching the rain through the window and feeling the moment. Ugh that was corny but yeah. It was an instant peace for me.

Going back 😂. While in Japan, I just walked around the airport and followed the gate gate number signs. So I went to my gate number first just to be sure I found it and roam around the airport again to buy some stuff like Matcha Latte Tea (my boyfriend asked me to buy some), the stores accepts US dollar and Japanese Yen only so I have to find money changer to buy things. Also you can find charging area around, you’ll see maps of Narita airport and pamphlet on how to connect to their WiFi. I tried it but it didn’t work so I went to their information counter and you just have to use a certain web address (it’s not on the pamphlet hahahah 😝) I tried free tasting of cheesecakes and it’s very delicious 😭
I also had lunch here and went back to my gate number again. I went to the counter to get my boarding pass. Waited for a few minutes and it’s time to board. Fall in line in accordance to your class. In my case I am on economy C 🙂

🛫 DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Gah. That was a long flight. I read. Nap. Watched movies. Nap again. Eat. Watch more movies. I sneak a peek on the window sometimes and Idk where part of the world it is. But it’s just beautiful seeing it from the top 😍

So after arrival LOL
☑ Fill out the immigration card and go to the non us citizen line. It took forever. 😌 They will asked questions again about your trip.
☑ Get your baggage.
☑ I am not sure if this is really required but it’s kinda like a random search but when I asked the security what it is for he said it was custom. He probably noticed that I’m kind of confused and a little pissed off so he got out cards of the other people as well to probably prove that he did the same thing to them heheh. I still asked him that isn’t it the custom part happened awhile ago already since they asked same questions, almost a duplicate. He said that was the immigration and he is in custom. It’s weird though because he just asked me not other people. I’m not sure if I’m missing something because I spent longer time in the bathroom before I exited so maybe I just didn’t see other people got inspected? He opened and checked my bag but it went well in the end.

Now.

Hello United States of America!! 👋👋 🇺🇸

Mt. Romelo Hike featuring 4/7 Falls

After months of not hiking, having heard of this Mt romelo hike excites me already. I had searched about what to expect on the destination and kinda makes me second guess about it. However, who knows until I got there to see it for myself.

We rode a jeepney from Starmall Mandaluyong Parklea to Tanay Rizal Market that costs us P58 per head and one and half hour travel time. From there, we rode the SINILOAN jeepney going to Famy (P45 per head). Upon reaching Famy, we first bought Pandesal from the nearby Bakeshop (which smells really good LOL) and took tricycle going to Buruwisan (P20 per head). Once we arrived there, Mang Teroy (our contact guide) is already waiting for us. Out of nowhere, I decided to buy a walking stick (P10) and plastic which had been really useful than I thougt. We headed to the barangay and paid the entarnce fee for P50. We are advised to leave our things there except for the valuable ones since it might got wet on the river crossing. (So its really best to bring waterproof things on this hike).

This is it. We prayed first and proceeded to hike. The trail was muddly/slippery hence became challenging even we’re just starting. This is the time where I appreciate the walking stick the most. If not for it, I might have slided a lot of times!😱

What I like about this hike is that, its not crowded even during weekends unlike the other mountains that became so popular. On the way to the summit, we passed stores selling Ice candy with Buko Salad and Banana flavor (P25) and fresh buko (P25) as well.

After some time, we have reached the Summit. You’ll be able to see overlooking Laguna lake , windmills and the beautiful scenery. This hike does not showcase the summit however its still nice to look how beautiful the nature is. We rest there for awhile and headed to the first out of seven falls. Yup. Most people hike here to see all the awesome falls. Before I forgot, its recommendable to wear leggings and long sleeves with bright/light colors as leeches are present. On the way to Sampaloc falls, we found few leeches sucking our blood waaaaaaaaaahh 😨 I kinda panic and became paranoid for some time 😂

When we Reached Sampaloc Falls we made sure to clean ourselves first. Checked our socks carefully since some of the leeches are there 😏😏 Our guide told us that its okay though as long as it didn’t reach your eyes/ears hehehe. We also spend our lunch there that we brought with us. Sampaloc falls is beautiful except for the leeches that you will encounter going there. Mang teroy said its only on that part where Leeches are present so we feel at peace to see the Next falls which is Batya-Batya Falls.

Before getting to Batya-Batya falls, there is another store selling fresh buko on the way. Also, you’ll get to pass an enchanting river. It does really look and feels magical. Capturing it through phone is incomparable to the beauty that what our eyes have saw. We did river crossing that’s over the head deep. For people like me that does not know to swim, don’t worry because the Rocks and vines on the side can help you get through and Mang teroy is always there for us haha! The current can be strong so be careful. We enjoyed the water before heading to the next falls.

The rain has been on and off the whole time so when we reached Buruwisan falls we decided to buy coffee (P25) and eat lunch (our own food/baon) again 😅 Cottages are available. It serves as the campsite also. We found few people and few foreigners too 😮

After resting for sometime, we went to Buruwisan Falls. Its the tallest amongst the 7 falls. Its really beautiful. Strong like us 😂 We decided to bathe there and spent more time feeling the splashes of the falls as we went behind it. Its cold too😁

We got tired and decided to head to the next falls which will be the last for today because it’s getting dark already. We went to Lanzones falls and did not stayed for long since my friends are chasing Guys that we bumped into. hahaha! Mang teroy said that its not deep enough and you can also enjoy swimming.

16128552_120300001645136335_938926461_n

After the fourth falls we decided to go back. It really was tiring plus the muddy trails. All of us had slided on the mud already haha! The rain hasn’t stop hence making the difficult trails 😥 We reached the Barangay around 6pm. Bought street food and took a shower (P20-P30). Going back, we rode tricycle again to famy (P20). From there we took a Van (P140) and dropped off at Ortigas. Hiking with friends was fun and the rain never bothered us anyway 😂💪👌 I hope to complete the remaining falls next time 😊😊😊

Mt Maynoba & Cayabu :)

This happens to be one of my favorite hiking trip. The view was amazing. We were able to catch the sea of clouds and my goodness, the SKY is just so beautiful the whole time 🙂 We started the hike around 4am. The trails were slippery/muddy thus making us slide and fall everytime 😂 I consider that as the fun part tho haha! At the time, it was foggy and cold but we started sweating after minutes of hiking.

When I reached near the upper part of the mountain, I’m starting to feel the excitement. I gave myself a moment of silence to just look, stare and appreciate the beauty of the incoming sunrise. The feeling of being proud that at 5:00AM where almost all people are still sleeping and here I am, doing the mountain trek 😛 This is the feeling that’s hard to trade for anything. It feels really good and satisfying 🙂

So there are two mountain summits. The first one that we passed was Mt. Cayabu. However a flock of people welcomes us when we got there so we decided to continue to the next one. I didn’t expect that it would take us long so it’s nice to meet strangers that turned friends along the way. They definitely made it so much fun. All of them are so funny and been very thoughtful to us. I didn’t find it so tiring because most of the time we are just laughing 😂

After some time, we now reach the Mt. Maynoba 😍 It’s so beautiful. Witnessing the sea of clouds on a great weather just feel so awesome 🙂 It’s just WOW 🙂 I’m literally speechless and left me lost with my surroundings. I started zoning out myself from people and just had the luxury of staring the beauty laid infront of my eyes. I only got recover when my friends already asked me to go forward for the 8 wonder falls 😂 Right. I’m back to reality 😅

Walk walk walk. And we reached the first waterfall. I guess it just one long waterfalls divided in 8 😂 Maybe you’ll enjoy this more if it’s not so crowded in there. A lot of people are staying there to eat and sleep 🙂 We had our lunch and continued hiking until we reached the end 🙂 We lined up to the bathroom and paid P20 to take a shower. After that we are already prepared to leave. However, this trip includes a side trip to Windmills in Tanay Rizal. It was nice but nothing much special 🙂 it’s okay tho 😊

All in all we spent P700 with inclusion of van transfer and the tour guide 🙂 Worth it? Definitely. Much worthy than P700 😊😊

BOHOL (Amarela Resort)

I’ve been waiting on this vacation for so long. Not only because of the place we are going to visit but because I’ll be travelling with the boyfriend 😀 XD Yep. Malandi lang. Its always  travel with comfort along with food tripping with him. So I hope you’d still get something from it 😀 Our flight was around 7:30 AM and we still don’t have a hotel to go to in Bohol Hahaha! We just booked exactly when we’re about to board, but upon the last step of registering with dying seconds left of boarding, it failed :3  (Nothing, just wanna share that hahahaha!) So yeah. When we arrived at tagbilaran airport, we booked at Amarela Resort, however their shuttle was nowhere to find in the airport and we dont have the shuttle schedule since we just literally booked that time. We decided to rent a car going to the resort which cost us P400. For me it was a reasonable price because using tricycle will cost you P300 🙂 Both have been the main transportation there although you can also use “Habal-Habal”/Motorcycles as an option  🙂

img_20161026_072758

Amarela resort is a paradise like place. There are lots of plants/flowers, its interior is so nice and arriving there with their refreshing calamansi juice was just perfect. The staff are very welcoming and so hospitable. You’ll know that staying there will be really relaxing with its peaceful and beautiful surroundings ^_____^

One more thing that was commendable was their food. We think that they are growing their own herbs/vegetables.  The food were always fresh and tasty. Apart from that we always get to sit with the great view ^_^

The resort has a lot to offer. Aside from the swimming pool area, they have Library so you can still read books or if you’re working while on vacation 😉  They have wide array of selection of DVDs that you can borrow and watch in your room as well. How cool is that 😀 Also, you can play pingpong, Darts or visit their mini museum 🙂

We only got to do the countryside tour since this trip was mainly for us to relax and enjoy 🙂

img_20161024_092842

We contacted Kuya Lito that we rode going to Amarela since they are also offering the countryside tour. It was a private tour using  Toyota. The first stop was the famous chocolate hills. You have to climb thousand steps to get to the viewing point. Upon reaching the top, a beautiful greenery hills welcome us. It has a super amazing  WOW view. LOL  We also rented an ATV and paid P600 for both of us. Its all worth it and so much fun 😀

After that we went to Loboc Cruise for lunch 🙂 We have met few friends that took our photos while in there 😀 The food were nice and it was just a wonderful ride in the river 🙂 The locals had prepared dances for the tourists. All of them were all smiles and been very welcoming 🙂

We visited the butterfly garden, Tarsier sanctuary, Baclayon church and Blood Compact after. We had a long day and cant wait to go back to the resort.  That place had left something personal in me. It was so peaceful. Everyday we woke up early to wait for the sunrise and watch how beautiful it scatters on the ocean. We also made sure that we watched the sunsets 😉 Those little things makes me happy. Those things that me and my love enjoy as if  we are the only one in this world 🙂 I can live there forever. Its like a place where I can just go and hide. Only if 🙂

I hope to come back again to discover places that we missed to visit 😀

TRI CITY TOUR (Baguio, La Union, Pangasinan)

We had a visitor coming from india at work, so the team decided to go on a Tri City Tour last 18th of November 2016. It helps us strengthen our bonding and let him know more about our culture and likewise. The first place we visited was the Summer Capital of the Philippines: Baguio.
img_20161118_093611
We ate breakfast at 50’s diner (highly recommended) where the servings were so WOW. LOL Its a lot without compromising the great taste 🙂
We head up at Camp John Hay after that and tried various adventures. I personally chose two things to try which are Tree Drop and Superman Ride Adventure. The tree drop was intense but manageable. I guess I just scared myself a lot before taking my turn 😂 Superman Ride was awesome because of the view. I wish I could extend 😅 Just a little disappointed because they didn’t let us take a photo upstairs for our before and after shot of the ride. They had copies and selling it for P250. After Camp John Hay we went to Mines View Park. This one is not new to me anymore since this will be my second time. So i just enjoyed myself buying Pasalubong (Gifts) and foods.

We ate lunch at Good Taste (as usual, their vegetables are so fresh and meals were so tasty) Our last itinerary for that day was the Strawberry Farm. Ofcourse, I got the famous strawberry ice cream 😂 This one is really my favorite 😁😁
We ate dinner from the restaurant near the inn that we’re staying and slept afterwards. (We hadn’t get much sleep yet because we came from work, so We deserve it 😜)We got up early in the morning and left the inn around 6am. We’re heading to La Union to surf 😎

We arrived there around 9am or probably later coz the driver got lost LOL All of us availed the one hour session that costs us P350 plus a cutiepie trainor 😂 This is my first time to surf but I nailed it hahahahahah It was so fun. I wish I could go back again soon 😥

After enjoying, we indulge ourselves with great foods in Halo-Halo de Iloko. It was a nice lunch since we got tired from surfing. PS. One Buko of Halo Halo is already good for 2-3 people LOL. We went to the Ruins afther that, prayed at the chapel and had some picture taking hehe. We made sure we visited the Grape Farm @ Lomboy.  The grape picking is fun however the grapes were just okay :O or I just had High hopes with it :X

15817923_1541086779240181_84907024_o

The last destination for that day was the Weaving. Our visitor from India was able to buy A set of pearls there for his wife. Sweet 😍😅 We missed to visit one place coz it’s already dark so we headed to the hotel already. We spend our dinner at Island Tropics which is just beside the hostel where we are staying. We got Seafood Sinigang(this is the only one I can remember 😂 and other foods which are really good 👌 We spent the rest of the nights drinking and playing Uno 😀

We had a good sleep and woke up with a great morning 😊🌅 The pier of Hundred Islands Pangasinan is just a walking distance to where we stayed.

img_20161120_070017

The hotel have its own boat, life jacket and Snorkeling gear. Eight O’clock in the morning, we started the Island Hopping 😊 There’s a lot of things that had changed from the last time I visited. It has a connecting bridge now and a diving area. We enjoyed ourselves with the beautiful islands and beaches. After we had our brunch we decided to try the banana boat. This is my first time and I could say that this will be the highlight of our trip 😂 When we already reached the middle part of the Ocean the boat sunk and all of us were thrown in the water. Unfortunately, the boat has a problem 😅 The driver decided to left us in the middle of the ocean like castaways waiting for help 😂 Although it’s scary , We are still laughing Lol Once he got back with a new boat, we continued with the banana boat ride. It was so much fun. It’s like a quick tour on all the islands. We can feel the water on our feet. It feels like we’re riding a horse in the sea 😁 It’s really fun!!! Awesome experience it is.

After the pangasinan tour we left the hotel around 2pm and spend lunch at jollibee. It was a long ride going home but always worth the travel 😊😊 PS. We got home at 10PM and will be working the next day at 6AM😂

Where my love for Hiking Started.

At first, I don’t understand what do people get from hiking. I saw them posting it on Facebook every now and then. I mean, what are you going to do in the mountains?  Until one day, I joined a club in the company I work on, where employees that are adventurous go on hike, surf, and travel with a cause etc.

So yeah, I registered to their hike at Mt. Ulap.  But it doesn’t sound that easy ! I don’t have the things that I needed for the hike. Great right. LOL. So here is the list of what should I get.

checklist

Those things kinda overwhelmed me. So I contacted a friend that already  hikes mountains so often. Asking advice and  all. Apparently he drags me into a mountain hike right before the MT . Ulap trek. They are just week apart. He said I should just join so I could experience it with myself and know the Do’S and the Dont’s.

SO HERE COMES MY FIRST HIKE 🙂 Presenting, MT. BINACAYAN, Rodriguez Rizal.

This hike was amazing. It was AWESOME! So beautiful. But before you get what you have  reaped off, you have to endure the tiring trails. We started with a prayer for all of us to be safe then proceed with the assault on the trails. I said to myself, “what have I entered into”. It really was tiring. BUT as what have I said, it was so worth it. OMG! I cant even explain how perfect it was! We started hiking at 4am and we’re able to catch the sunrise. The view from the top is priceless. All that sweat and complaints had really paid off.

Conquering this mountain only needs less than P1000. The expenses are as follows:

  • Guide fee is P500 (This already works for a group. Its up to you if you want to add more for their effort of taking photos 😉
  • You have to buy gloves since this mountain have rocky/rough surfaces. I guess it cost around P30-P50. I cant remember how much haha Apologies. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Might as well bring slippers for the wawa falls after the trek. YEP. You can chill after.
  • Ofcourse water. Lots of water.
  • I also bought energy drink and chocolates
  • Going down, there will be a mini store where you can buy foods/drinks.

After the trekking, its just right in time to get some lunch and we decided to rent a “Kubo” at wawa Falls. You have to pay for it as well.  We have rice and eggs with us. Our guide initiates to buy us cooked meals already so it was a good lunch I could say. Below is the photo of us in Wawa Falls 😀

The falls was very refreshing. It feels like a massage after the tiring long trails. Be careful tho coz every time you climb up you’d probably slide just like what happened with my friend and I. haha! It was fun but hurts in the ass hahahah! This experience was pretty amazing that made me wants to hike more 🙂

Adios! 🙂
